The challenge
With more than 7,000 employees, Eneco Group supplies more than two million people with consistent and secure energy supplies. Looking to deliver and invest in sustainable energy by way of a digital transformation, Eneco turned to Devoteam.
The issue is that Eneco wasn’t getting the full potential from their Apigee API Management platform. This needed to turn around so that they could develop new features more efficiently and also improve time to market.
The solution
Firstly Devoteam completed an architectural review, from where they suggested a number of elements that needed improvement, such as security policies, enhancing development, code quality and user analytics amongst other factors.
Helping Eneco with the API Developer portal, app developers were soon able to make requests for APIs. Additionally, Devoteam improved the development lifecycle of APIs which resulted in a standardized workflow. A custom, Eneco branded domain for the API gateway and developer portal was also designed.
